A Little Poetry, a Little Family Pride, and a Perfect Holiday Gift!

Little Moments, Little Rhymes – little poems, big imaginations, and a whole lot of heart.

Every once in a while, I get to put aside my usual mysteries, murders, and mayhem and share something a little sweeter. No dead bodies. No suspicious husbands. Not even a missing inheritance.

Just a delightful collection of children’s poetry, a whole lot of imagination, and a very proud sister.

I’m especially excited to introduce Little Moments, Little Rhymes: A Collection of Poems for Childhood, written by my talented sister, Ileanna Pappas!

And here’s the really fun part: I had the pleasure of publishing it through my own company, Purple Quill Book Production.

Yes, it’s a family affair. And no, we haven’t started arguing over the movie rights. Yet.

There’s something special about childhood. The little adventures, the big imaginations, the friendships, the laughter, and those everyday moments that somehow become treasured memories.

Little Moments, Little Rhymes celebrates that wonderful world through poetry written especially for young children.

And can we talk about that cover? Two adorable children, a cuddly puppy, a beautiful day by the water, and a stack of books just waiting to be opened. If that doesn’t make you want to curl up with a little one and start reading, I don’t know what will.

With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, I’m always looking for gifts that are a little more meaningful than another plastic toy destined for the bottom of the toy box.

And this little book fits the bill beautifully.

Heading to Thanksgiving dinner? Bring a copy for the little ones! While the adults debate politics, football, and who makes the best stuffing, the children can enjoy some delightful poetry. It might even buy everyone a few precious minutes of peace. You’re welcome.

Looking for a Christmas gift? Tuck it into a stocking, wrap it with a stuffed animal, or add it to a holiday gift basket. It’s a lovely present from grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, or anyone who wants to encourage a child’s love of reading.

And unlike that noisy toy you gave them last year, this one won’t drive their parents crazy by December 26.

I have to admit, this project is especially close to my heart.

As a lifelong lover of books, I’ve always believed that there’s something magical about seeing your words become a real book. Helping my sister bring her poetry to life made that experience even more meaningful.

Through Purple Quill Book Production, I help authors take their manuscripts from words on a page to beautiful, published books. From cover design and interior formatting to preparing and uploading books for Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) and other platforms, my goal is to make the publishing process a little less intimidating and a lot more exciting.

Whether you’ve written a children’s book, a novel, a memoir, or something entirely different, there’s nothing quite like holding your finished book in your hands.

And yes, helping my own sister do just that was pretty special.

So, here’s my holiday suggestion: Skip one more toy that flashes, beeps, or requires seventeen batteries.

Give a child a book instead.

Better yet, give them Little Moments, Little Rhymes by Ileanna Pappas.

It’s a sweet way to celebrate childhood, encourage a love of reading, and create a few little moments of your own.

And if you happen to have a manuscript tucked away in a drawer, perhaps it’s time to dust it off. Purple Quill Book Production would love to help you turn it into a book of your own.

Happy reading, happy holidays, and here’s to keeping a little poetry in our lives!

P.S. Yes, she’s my sister. Yes, I’m proud. And yes, I’m going to tell everyone about her book. That’s what sisters are for!
